Our great clients in Frankston South love their new pool side revamp, the new outdoor space is ready for warm summer days. Working alongside Genus Landscape Architects, we helped to transform the existing pool with fresh hard and soft landscaping including brush fencing, installing a spa, spa decking, corten steel panel walls, bamboo panels, new plants, drip line irrigation and landscape lighting to finish the landscape design all off. The steps of the works performed by Coastal Creations Landscaping are listed below: 1. Spa dig out 2. Constructed retaining wall around the perimeter of the deck and around the spa 3. Laid the concrete slab for footing for the spa 4. Put spa in place 5. Built a sub floor around the spa, allowing an area for a trap door to access the spa 6. Laid spa decking 7. Installed corten steel panels around the spa and along the pool area. 8. Filled the spa 9. Installed bamboo panels to the garden shed 10. Took out old unusable soil from the garden beds and refilled them with clean organic garden blend soil. 11. Installed drip line irrigation 12. Installed lights in the garden BeforeAfterThe corten steel panels are sold as black sheets and over time will rust beautifully creating a rustic wall around the spa that provides both protection and privacy. BeforeAfterBamboo screens are a great way to hide garden sheds and create softness and relaxation in your landscape design. We planted bamboo in the garden bed just in front of the bamboo panels which will grow quickly creating softness and privacy in the pool area. Many thanks to our amazing clients for spoiling us whilst we worked at your property. Thanks again to our great team for helping to create this beautiful landscape transformation in Frankston South.
We are currently working on a custom built outdoor dining table for these clients, so stay tuned! The reclaimed wood we are using is beautiful. At last this beautiful outdoor metal art pear sculpture has arrived to its new home at Marine Park Equestrian property in Dromana on the Mornington Peninsula.
Over 400 horse shoes were used to create this amazing outdoor sculpture, the shoes were kindly donated by a good friend and farrier based on the Morninton Peninsula. The sculpture was a creative project which first involved the preparation and cleaning of the horse shoes, then planning of the pear. Each horse shoe has been structurally wielded to ensure a durable and long lasting outdoor metal art piece for our clients. Many thanks to Campbell Hammersley-Alderson for assisting with design and construction of the pear. This Outdoor Metal Art Pear sculpture stands at over 1.8 metres high and is a beautiful addition to our clients existing outdoor art on her property. Many thanks to everyone who assisted with the transport and installation of this art piece. A complete front and back rustic and natural landscaping transformation was created for this home in Mornington on the Morninton Peninsula, Victoria. Our clients were excited to create a landscape design and construction that used both hard and soft landscape elements that were practical and aestically pleasing. We got to work to build a two tier red gum retaining wall with steel uprights. The retaining wall was structually sound, providing support and foundation for the elevated front yard, whilst creating a stunning focal point that our clients would love to see everytime they arrived home. Aggregate drains were installed behind both walls, back filled with scoria rock then topped with garden blend top soil. A mixed variety of native grasses, cordeline and flowering plants were planted for a colour impact. A full drip irrigation system with a 13mm drip line was installed to ensure the garden would grow and flourish all year round. Installing a reliable irrigation system also provides peace of mind and the freedom to be away from home during the hot summer months. The garden was topped off with black mulch and several mount bulla mud stone rocks were scattered throughout to add character. Six steps were constructed using merbau to provide street access to the house, enabling people to access the front gate without having to walk up the drive way. Retaining wall planter boxes were installed next to the steps, and capped with 140x45mm dressed Merbau to provide a sleek finish. The planter boxes also provided a frame for the steps, creating softness with flowering plants and texture adjacent to the exposed aggregate concrete driveway. Mentone Concrete laid the driveway and filled the steps with exposed aggregate concrete. A Rustic Fencing Design was constructed using Cyprus posts and Cyprus capping. A hard wood picture frame was constructed and installed to the front and the back of the fence to hold and secure the mini corrugated iron sheets. Our clients chose the iron sheets in bush smoke colour to create a natural look colour scheme. We designed and built two custom gates using steel, then powder coated which were constructed to the fence. The double gate was cladded with hard wood and mini corrugated iron. The single gate was cladded with cyprus pickets surrounded by a picture frame design. Out the back we levelled out the soil and laid approx 150 square metres of Sir Walter Buffalo Grass to create an instant beautiful turf for the backyard. Our clients love their new rustic and natural landscape design. This landscaping transformation has added value to the property, curb appeal to the home and privacy to their backyard. BEFORE
